Water Literacy Project

Digi-Blue Schools: Water Literacy for Sustainability and Climate Action

The objective of this Erasmus+ project is to establish a small-scale partnership in school education, focused on improving water literacy. The initiative, called Digi-Blue, aims to raise awareness among students and teachers about environmental sustainability, the fight against climate change, and reducing the water footprint. The partnership involves four schools from Spain (coordinator), Turkey, Italy, and Lithuania, each contributing specific expertise, such as Spain’s experience in Erasmus projects or Italy’s strength in the use of artificial intelligence. The two-year, €60,000 project focuses on addressing environmental priorities and digital transformation, especially in areas subject to water stress. To achieve these objectives, four transnational activities have been planned, including the observation of digital laboratories in Lithuania and sessions on the use of AI in Italy for the creation of informational posters. Quantifiable objectives include increasing water footprint measurement capabilities and improving the digital skills of staff and students.
